The initial visual identity of Pizzamax had been hastily put together, resulting in a mishmash of graphic styles. As a result, the customer experience lacked a strong brand presence. Recognizing the need for change, Pizzamax enlisted the expertise of Salvita Bingelyte to create a new visual identity that would capture the essence of the brand.
One of the standout features of the rebranding is the unique display of the words "pizza" and "max" on different sides of business cards and pizza boxes. This clever design choice adds a touch of playfulness to the brand while also making it more memorable. The M and X letters in the logo, with their curved ends, symbolize people, specifically bakers carrying pizzas with straight arms. This not only adds a sense of movement to the design but also conveys the idea of a quick and delicious meal.
The color palette chosen for the rebranding is classic and timeless, with red and black on white and black backgrounds. This choice reflects the traditional Italian pizza colors while giving the brand a modern and expressive feel. The simplicity and clarity of the visual identity ensure high visibility, energy, and spontaneity.
In addition to the logo redesign, Salvita Bingelyte also created business cards, letterhead, pizza box branding, and clothing branding for Pizzamax. The cohesive design across all touchpoints helps create a strong and memorable brand presence.
The rebranding project for Pizzamax started in June 2019 and was completed in October 2019 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Throughout the process, Salvita Bingelyte faced the challenge of retaining the existing customer base while also attracting new customers. The result is a brand that is both familiar and inviting, appealing to a wide range of pizza lovers.
The success of Pizzamax's rebranding efforts has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit outstanding creativity, technical skill, and resourcefulness. By incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology, the rebranding of Pizzamax has not only improved the brand's quality of life but also made the world a better place for pizza enthusiasts.
With its fresh visual identity and strong brand presence, Pizzamax is now ready to delight customers with its delicious pizzas while also offering a memorable dining experience.
